Today was the Primary Program in our ward. All of the kids did a great job, but I thought my boys were the best! Dallin had to be practically dragged to the podium and then he wouldn't look over the top, but he said "Jesus Christ is my Savior and the Savior of the whole world". Spencer had his part memorized and stood up there so big and said "The prophet holds all the priesthood keys and directs the church". Alex had the biggest part. He had to prepare a talk about how scripture families can be an example to our family. He talked about Lehi and his family and how they were commanded to leave Jerusalem and how it was hard for them, but when they were obedient, they were blessed. Then he talked about our move to Florida and how it has been hard for us, but that we too can be blessed if we our obedient to our Heavenly Father. He did such a great job! He also had to sing a duet with another boy in his class. They sang the first verse of 'Called To Serve' and then the rest of the primary joined in on the chorus. He sang so well and did such a great job! I am so proud of him.
Tonight a friend of Ryans from work invited our family over for dinner. He also happens to be a 3 time Olympic gold medal winner from the 1984 Olympics-Rowdy Gaines. He got out one of his gold medals and let the kids hold it. Taylor put it around his neck and started to ran laps around the living room. It was really cute. It was really cool for us to actually hold the medal, as that is probably the closest to an Olympic medal that we will every get. It was fun to get together with another family and spend Sunday night too. We are used to spending Sundays with family, so Sundays can be a bit boring for the kids, and us too if I'm honest.
